On 20th April 2022,Hills' High School bid farewell to the students of standard 12, of the year 2021-22 It was truly an exceptional and extremely memorable day for each one of us. It was a day to acknowledge the teachers who have trained the "leaders of the future". All the students were congratulated for successfully completing the school years. The students left behind a Legacy for the incoming students to follow.

On May 1, the state of Gujarat Celebrates its foundation day. At Hills High School to make our students aware of the rich culture of Gujarat, numerous activities were conducted. It was a week-long celebration catering to different dance styles of Gujarat, its rich food culture, different symbols of the state, famous laureates, different traditional games etc. The week-long celebration helped our students relive the rich cultural heritage, feel proud and cherish for the years to come.

A dance competition was organized in the school to celebrate World Dance Day also known as International Dance Day, at Hills High School we always aim to promote different art forms be it Dance Music or Visual Arts. We had a very noted personality Ms. Bhairavi Rangat Athavale to judge the show. Her presence was a moment to cherish forever. The participants were dressed in colorful costumes and set the stage on fire with their thrilling performances. The students performed on different themes and age appropriate. The choreography, rhythm, synchronization and presentation were good in all the genres be it Classical, Western and Traditional dances. The Principal and the Management encouraged each participant to participate in such events and enhance their talent.

With the commencement of the new academic session, the Investiture Ceremony was organized on 20th April 2022 with great pomp and dignity. A sprit of unity filled in the air, as the ceremony began with the lighting of the lamp followed by a soulful prayer. Amongst us we had an eminent personality Mr. Darshan Desai (founder of "Prayas). We had our previous year Head girl to share her experience and guide our newly elected members of the Council. The newly appointed Council under the leadership of the Head boy and Head Girl took the oath to abide by their duties and hold the name and honor of the School in high esteem. The management along the Chief guest felicitated the Students with sash and a badge. The Head boy, Head girl, Sports Captain and all the House Captains stood tall holding the Flag of Hills' High School and promised to bring many more laurels to the Institution. It was, a proud moment for all the parents to witness their children being bestowed with great responsibilities and starting on a new journey as Leaders.

The "World Book Day" aims to promote reading and to encourage young people to discover the pleasure of reading, developing a life -long habit of reading and benefitting from it. Books help us share ideas, obtain information and develop admiration for different cultures. To mark the day, students shared their experience of reading, a story telling session was held with the younger children, a book fair was arranged in the school by the students and many other activities were conducted. A joyful learning day for our children.

Every year "Earth Day" is celebrated with the motto to save our earth and motivate students to engage in environmentally conscious practices. The teachers conducted several activities to sensitize students towards environment protection and conservation. Our young children designed beautiful posters, models and spoke eloquently about paving the way for a cleaner and greener environment.

The would Heritage Day was celebrated with fervor and joy The students put up informative Charts, on the diversity of our Heritage and the efforts that is required to Protect and conserve it. Teachers
discussed on raising awareness about the heritage monuments and sites. students designed beautiful models and displayed in the classrooms. It was fun filled day with numerous activities throughout the school.
Save Soil is a global movement, to address the fertile soil crisis by bringing together people from around the world to stand up for soil health. To raise awareness among our students a workshop was organized in the school campus by "ISHA FOUNDATION". The students were made aware that 52% of agricultural soil has already degraded. To save the future generation from this crisis Isha Foundation has taken a step to write 10 million letters to the Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modiji to help save the future of India. The students of Hills' High School wholeheartedly participated, wrote letters and expressed their concern through art work. It was an eye opener for all.

The start of the year for our noon shift students was overwhelming. we could see the feelings of joy and excitement among the children. All the safety protocols were kept in mind for the safety of our students. The readiness and enthusiasm of students and teachers could be seen with the smile on their faces. Different activities were conducted throughout the day, followed by a tour of the school and make each child aware of the new surrounding. We wish on developing an uninterrupted routine of in-school attendance.
